i have no problem,,, in general, just dont understand why threads that cause no harm. aren't offensive, don't insult anyone at all, are deleted with no explanation as to what was wrong so we can avoid the same mistake in the future....

it's like we live in america...

don't get me wrong, i've nothing against mods, we should be told why threads are locked/ deleted.....if for no other reason than so as to make sure we avoid making the same mistake twice... esp someone like me that posts most of the time...

FFS.
it's crap like this that's starting to get a little pathetic.... why move it and relabel "whiner" if it was not to bate and irritate....

how about a polite PM to explain what the problem is as mentioned in my above post..... Confused Confused

Because your constant baiting of mods and second guessing of what is right and wrong is tiresome.

ad I'm sure you are a nice chap ..but you fail to understand that, for a start, your part of the Alive thread hasn't been deleted...it's been moved. The posts were split from the main Alive thread because they were going off topic from welcoming the new sponsor, which is perfectly reasonable. The other thread about April 1st you complained had been deleted was still there Rolling Eyes

If we had to explain the hundreds of actions we take every day to keep the site tidy then we would never get anything else done ...and ultimately we will tell you when we believe that you are making the same mistake again.

95% of the users carry out their daily interaction with the site without any issues whatsoever but the 5% who persistently present issues will find that this site isn't a democracy and it's about time some of those who don't like the rules or what the mods do understand that. ....or the door is over there Wink

Now ..I'm off for a chuckle Thumbs Up

urrrDG, this is the first time i've asked what the f Censored ck is going on...

and i qoute "Because you're constant baiting of mods and second guessing of what is right and wrong is tiresome. "

sorry but i've NEVER baited mods,, not seriously anyway,,,, Question

if i'm tiresome then say....i'll take my sense of humour elsewhere....

I understand you have to take 100's of actions every day to keep the forum tidy, but maybe, just maybe if you told us when we were going of the beaten track SOME of these actions MAY be avoided... Confused

also a little confused at a couple of your points..

1. second guessing of what is right and wrong is tiresome.

2 and ultimately we will tell you when we believe that you are making the same mistake again.

if you told me when i was making a mistake surely it would not get to a stage when i was being tiresome.......

Now i love this place more than anyone, since lossing my job it's been a great source of sanity (yeh right) friendship and knowledge, without it i would have got shot of the D3, bought some piece of crap and be even more miserable,,,, BUT thanks to the folks on here, I'm re training, starting another career and am generally in a more positive state of mind.

Please dont think i'm knocking the site, but in my job, if someone is making a mistake, doing something wrong etc etc I tell him/ her. not just lock a thread etc without telling him/ her....... that's all i'm asking...

and seriously, if disco3 would prefer that all posts were formal and relate only to D3 etc etc then PLEASE say and i'll take myself elsewhere...

ad.... I cannot know about your undisclosed personal circumstances and, as I'm sure you will fully appreciate, we can all have gone through a tough time in life while trying to maintain other aspects of the supposed normality. I can tell you that I have very much experienced that scenario in the last 12 months, so I will acknowledge an appreciation now that I do know some of your issues.

Mods will, where necessary, advise users where there are repetitive issues which maybe undesirable on the site ...but this does not mean that communications can occur on every occasion. I took issue with your several comments about mod actions to other users in the Alive thread once it had been split and in another thread where you suggested that something had been deleted when it was still completely active. That is what I have considered to be baiting, albeit not seriously per your POV.

My comments concerning the 5% do stand as far as I'm concerned and I know that this advice reflects how the moderation team feel ....quite strongly.

Whether you choose to be in that 5% is up to you. I sincerely hope that you won't ...and we can put this to bed ...where I'm going now in fact Thumbs Up (that's no invitation BTW Shocked )

P.S. We are both whining now so I have changed the title of the thread. Laughing

Ady, you've been here over a year and well know that OT content of thread is generally tidied up - DG wasn't picking on you specifically, other than you posted OT in a on-topic thread. Smile
