Cracked rear sunroof
I was at the car wash last Friday and discovered that my rear sunroof of my brand new D3 (5 days old) had a 50cm long crack.
When looking closer I realized what happened. My dealer installed the roof bars and expedition roof rack to close to the edge of the glass of the sunroof. At some places it does indeed cover the edge of glass. This must have put the glass under stress and at the first loading of the roof rack even more pressure was applied. The first bump in the road did the job.
So if you have like me a expedition roof rack over a sunroof, check if there is enough of a gap between the roof bars and the glass for this not to happen.
I now have to wait for a new glass to be sent from England. None in stock in Switzerland.
Also when I picked up my D3 last monday, one of the rear plastic fairings of the expedition rack was cracked. The dealer says he cannot order one by it's one and will replace the whole roof rack.
By for now
For the rest I am really happy of D3.

Hello DSL,
Rear sunroof is an option on S.
I first had not chosen this option as the expidition roof rack cuts some of the light off, but that I figured that at some times I might remove the roof rack (rr). Now that I have the D3 and have looked at the way the rr is fixed to the bars, I might never take it away.
