Shukers LUDLOW
Well after my Disaster with Shrewsbury, I need some final warranty work on my D3 before it finishes on 2nd/3rd March.
After consulting with locals about Shukers in LUDLOW, I mailed off to them a list of my woes, Shrewsburys inadequacies and my list of outstanding niggles I'd like to get fixed (as well as the outstanding recalls).
Hadn't received a call back or any response, but (as I suspected) that was due to the mail being held in the spam filter.
I called them a few minutes ago and the recommended contact couldn't have been more helpful. Found the e-mail in their filter & confirmed everything that they would be looking at (including the MOT)
Collection by them from my office in Telford is booked for 1st March in time to get it under warranty. Loan car confirmed (trying for D4, but will probably be a FL).
Now this really is a far different experience from the one I had with Shrewsbury , so I hope that CG and Simon are correct in their recommendations, certainly sounds as though they will be!Bodsys Brake Bible

They have ALWAYS been brilliant in my book.
Dave & Dave (there are two) and Mike in the service dept especially. Handily, one of them lives in my town so walks up, collects my D3 and then drops it back on his way home
Nick Apperley in sales too

V helpful, and travel 40 mile to collect me car and return it.
Normally leave a FL2 but have had a FFRR TDV8 and a D2 commerical, which was actually quiet fun, and with a good heater

Just had a call from Shukers, they've had a management decision to NOT collect customers cars greater than 25 miles away from them. (I'm 26 miles from home to Shukers) although TBF they were going to collect from another 11 miles further on.
But the call was courteous and provided me other options including to drop my car off on the saturday, which is the option I'll go for.
FL2 courtesy car won't be quite the same as the Disco, but OK. Will collect probably on the following Wednesday.

When I had my car recovered by LRA they took it too Shukers Shrewsbury rather than Ludlow, when the work was done I got told i could go and collect my car from Shrewsbury as it was within (I think 50 miles) I was about 48 miles. LRA werent moving at all and refused point blank to authorise delivery.
Shukers managed to bring the car back from Shrewsbury at there expense to Ludlow to help out.
Shukers 1 - LRA 0
Just waiting for a call back from Ludlow now to arrange servo recall

I'm sure I can convince them to go the extra mile for collection when I have it's 60k service in a couple of months (assuming they do a decent job on the warranty, which so far, seems positive )Bodsys Brake Bible

There's no reason why they wouldn't do a good job on your warranty work.

Just to update, as you know, the D3 went in on Monday for some warranty items and for it's first ever MOT at Shukers Ludlow.
Great communication with them there (Dave in service), they kept me up to date on what they were doing and when they would contact me next.
Final result is......
They’ve fixed the suspension clunk with some replacement ARB Bushes
Replaced the centre sunroof screen (which had mysteriously 'zipped' back one day 7 broke the catch)
Adjusted & Lubed the rear windscreen wiper (wasn't keeping the blade on the screen)
Carried out the brake re-call (Only pipe needed)
Replaced the door seal.
Replaced the wiggly pin in my key (been meaning to punch the roll pin for about 18 months to stop it coming out )
Passed it’s MOT (£53.10! I think I last paid £17.50!!!!!),
The Aux Battery cover that Shrewsbury broke is on back order, but they’ll post up to me when they get it in.
To top it off, they’re coming to drop the car off at my work as they need the loan Freelander XS Auto in Bali Blue back! Result!
Only downside, is that the price for the next service (60k) is £491!!!! They can drop by £50 to price match if anyone else is offering less....
But overall, a MUCH better experience than Shukers Shrewsbury. I'll need to consider the service price (above) but certainly for quality of service and no quibble loan car, good communication etc, would recommend them
Thanks to Simon & CG for harping on about how good they were. Bodsys Brake Bible
