I was just lucky to find this HSE as it only just popped up two days ago. I suggest go for a lower mileage one, especially those that are below 60k miles, if it goes above 100k, just make sure they've done that big service. Also if you read some of the replies above, I've learnt that one of these with full service history is usually the ideal one.
I've been promised that the scratches on the HSE that I've just purchased are going to be removed so I'll be expecting that. I think my only advice here is to bring the car out for a test drive until you are happy - I test drove this car twice before I was happy. And scrutinize the car!
Well that was the thing... the big service was going to be done as part of the sale "deal". Basically, compared with the others in the area, it seems to be ~£5-6k cheaper, albeit with 50-60k more miles than the others.
I guess if the major service had been done or will be done then I believe you're in good hands with that car. IMHO, I can't get over buying a car that's done over 100k miles - just squeeze for good price!

Yeah... I think that's one of the things that's still kinda putting me off it a bit... although I'm still interested.

I think it's best you go for a test drive of the car you're interested in. If it's a good one, I really think it would be a good deal then. Given that these vehicles are generally overengineered, they should last quite long I guess. It's a matter of personal opinion! 8)

Well the deal is effectively done now anyway... heading back to take it for a proper spin the morn' but unless there is a real problem with it then I've bought it

Believe me, you will know, you put your foot down and nothing happens.
I have noticed that when pulling out of junctions a bit quickish there is quite a delay in pickup which i put down to turbo lag etc could this be EGR problems as the cars completed 55k ?1995 V8 ES - SOLD.
2005 TDV6 HSE - SOLD.
2006 RRS TDV6 SOLD.

Got a call from Jeremy today and he told me the car was ready for collection at 10am. Went down and did the run through of the whole car. The car was cleaned up to an amazing shine, and most of the service work had to be done. Workshop changed the bushes and done up some of the requests for the vehicle.
The whole process went very smoothly and was thoroughly happy with the Disco!
I must say, Lookers Park Royal has got to be one of the best dealers anywhere around! I'm chuffed to bits! Now for some disco3.co.uk stickers!
