Urm, I wish you luck with finding the connectors Alpine & Mitsumi are what you are searching for but baring in mind I started looking into this 5 months ago, on and off, I couldn't find a source And even if you do most manufacturers wont just sell you a handfull

What would be the best place to order genuine parts from UK who can oversea transaction?
I found that www.brit-car.co.uk has full searchable catalog and found the main RES ECU for 2010 D4 for £236.25 plus VAT($368). This is cheaper than what I found here in state side (www.parts.com, $415.39) but international shipping fee might cancel out the saving.
If anyone know another online retailer who can offer better price than what I found let me know.
I've decided to buy the faultmate MSV2 and resell after use. They allow reselling this device and relicensing to new VIN once the ownership is transfered.
So only issue I got is the wiring. Looks like I can get S-Video, 4 pin white DVD changer power and SPDIF cable pretty easily. I also found that certain Alpine video or Ipod cable can be used for 13pin Alpine cable.
Is 3 way MOST fiber optic extension cable LR part? but I see that generic MOST cables are available on the market.
C2492 RES power connector can be modified as it just needs +12v and ground, 5 other pins are not used. I think I can desolder the original connector and replace with generic 2 pin connector readily available on the market.
Now one thing I haven't seen is the 20 pin Mitsumi harness for the monitor. I might just take apart the LCD monitor and RES model and replace the connectors with something else as well. TJ

One more favor/help. Does anyone have a wiring diagram or Logic7 amplifier pinouts? I would like to install and wire 2nd and 3row seat audio jack/controls. I understand these controls, two on the rear door integrated into rear door power window switch and two at the top of rear quater panel trim plugs into the Logic 7 amplifier directly. I don't believe wires are there. TJ

For you guys attempting this on D4.....
My car was at the stealer yesterday to replace the factory fit DVD changer that is part of the RSE...after 2 hours of waiting I asked what the hold up was and I was told "the RSE module is coded to the player and they have to download the info to the module, it's not like the old ones"
Now that could be world class B.S. or it could be useful information. Either way the diagnostic system crashed during downloading a CCF and left the car completely in-operable and me driving a RRS (again). 2011 D4 Landmark, Mini Cooper SD Clubman, Range Rover Vogue SE

Urm sounds a bit "fishy" to me
I am not the best person to confirm about coding the CCF (BBS SPY I am sure can clarify ) but in order for the RSE, DVD and AVIO panel to function correctly on my D3 the CCF (Car Configuration File) needed to be changed and basically told that these components are now fitted, for me this put the new RSE & DVD Icons on the home screen.
I dont believe anywhere in the CCF does it mention or require the individual RSE module or changer to be coded to a specific vehicle but maybe the D4 is different I know from a conversation with my friendly local LR Aftersales Manager that the 2010 FFRR CCF is vehicle specific and stored in a database but I am not sure if the D4 wiring has has the same "make over"
Perhaps someone with a Faultmate & D4 licence could comfirm this

Found this. Looks like Land Rover RES system is loosely based on TME-M750 and made using standard Alpine connectors and components. The power, monitor and AV connectors are identical to what's on RES module.

Good job
I think these "older style" Apline connectors are still available "State Side" so you may have a better chance of finding their part numbers and sourcing them BUT they are likely to have the flat 20 pin connector on each end which will be a problem when connecting to the cable coming down through the headrest stem as on the D3/RRS they are the other 13pin type Apparently on the FFRR the connectors on the end of the headrest cables are the flat 20pin ones BUT the headrest stem diameter is WIDER on the FFRR than the D3/RRS so they cant be used
Keep digging though

Hate to keep asking for help but does anyone with access to microcat find the part number for 2nd row window switch with headphone jack and controls integrated and also 3rd row headphone jack? I believe 2nd row switch was slightly redesigned for D4 vs D3 so I need the number from 2010 D4 but 3rd row switch/jack wasn't offered on D4 so one from D3 would work.
Better yet, where do I get the latest Microcat? is this something I can buy or download free from somewhere? TJ
