I have a Black LHD D3 HSE (end of 2006) and I would like to buy those little package of paint for scratches.
How do I know which kind of black is that as there are a few different kind of black?

lift the bonnet and check the colour code number which is there on the left hand side
but I would rather recommend getting spray cans rather than pencils mate and sheet of fine sand paper and ding proper jobby
those kits come with clean lacquer as well so it can be done the way noone would see the difference unless the damage is very big

Is the code under the bonnet the same that it is then mentionned in the site you linked (ie Java Black Ref. Code: LR005714)?

should you not feel comfy with getting those kits on line go to nearest LR stealer and get it there it is just slightly more expensive around 9 quid

paint code is different from the LR part code but there is you car paint code listed on the kit cans

I found several number so I have no idea which one is the one for the paint?
Do you know how many numbers and letters is it?
It is one of the black but I do not know which one.
Do you know (or do you know where to find the information) which code is Java Black and the others?
