first disco 3 in the pipeline |
|
Hi all,
It's finally becoming true, so many years after seeing one of the prototypes at Billing's in 2004.
I'm buying (process ongoing this week) a pristine disco 3 with 156 000 Km and full service history.
and it feels good to come back to the green oval brotherhood after a few years absence. down to basic numbers, I've had so far:
4 109 station wagon
1 109 soft top
1 88 station wagon
1 101 radio body
4 classic range rover
1 P38 range rover
3 discovery 1
let's get going with the next stage; discovery 3

Hello all, new here! not sure if I have posted this in the right section?! Just thought I'd introduce myself
Iv just picked up a disco 3, 55 plate SE as spares and repairs that needs an engine rebuild/replacement as a bit of a project. It was pretty cheap and fairly decent condition for its age!
I'm sure I'll have all sorts of questions to ask over the coming months, iv got a few in my head already! While I'm here I'll ask a quick one.. Does anyone know what is standard on an SE and what's optional or if there is a way to find out what options it left the factory with?.. I'm sure it's been asked before but my search function doesn't seem to be working or I'm doing it wrong?!
Thanks, aaron.

Welcome
this may assist you

Also remember the original owner may have specified extras over and above what was standard.
Good luck with your project I have a 2006 D3 with a blown engine lying in my drive that's being broken up and sold off, lack of decent internal engine components and cost made the decision to scrap an easy one.

A quick hello from me. I've owned the Discovery 4 for some time but just found this site. Hoping to use it as and when and offer any useful info as and when.

Hi All
First time on any sort of forum, love my D3 and all its little 'quirks' best family car we have ever had.
Loads of room for all the tribe, to float around in comfort and safety!
Question can any body on here with access to AULRO, let me now what trim colour my car is if I post the VIN number trying to get hold of replacement seat belt hole cover (child three apparently admitted to removing it/and filing it somewhere), driver side FCL500062, we have a beige interior, but can't remember what its called, trying to get one online before resorting the dealership.
Many thanks
Neil

Welcome! A D3 with "beige" interior is in fact the "Alpaca" trim
Edit: you don't need AULRO access to look up your build spec, you can do this at the JLR TOPIX site: https://topix.landrover.jlrext.com/topix/vehicle/lookupForm
Edit2: the part you want is FCL500062SMS (SMS is the code for Alpaca) 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
Any issues with the site let me know!

Hi all,
So I’ve now learned never to park opposite a LR dealer on your wife’s birthday!!
We will become owners of a disco4 later this week.
It’s been in the pipeline for a while but now we are moving more rural it has become easier to “justify”.
Looking to purchase spare wheel security cover (RDL?) and also few other bits and pieces.
On my present car I have a solar panel linked up to the battery in the boot. Pleased to hear if anyone has done something similar with their lr4?
