Hi folks and thank you for allowing me to join the forum. Though I have often used the forum as a font of all knowledge I am now desperate to find a resolution for my latest problem.
Today , I replaced the sun-roof drain hose on my 2005 Disco 3 tdv6 HSE (lhd, auto). To do this I removed the CJB and replaced the complete tube.......proper job.
After fighting with the rear connections for longer than I care to mention I finally got the CJB connected up and reconnected the battery. Upon putting the key in the ignition you can understand my total lack of surprise when every error message possible flashed up - doors open, boot open, bonnet open, suspension, parking brake, transmission, gear selection HDC (of course!) And the thing failed to start at all.
I desperately need help to solve this anomaly as I need to drive the mrs to the airport on Tuesday (she's a nurse in the NHS) so she can get back to work.
Fingers crossed there is a genius out there who can help
TIA
Mike

Cheers buddy, will do. I tried it earlier but to no avail, got a feeling i may not have left the connecting cable on long enough. So, as an interim I've removed the battery and have got it on charge overnight.
I've been doing some reading up and this seems a popular fault with no specific fix. Nightmare.
I'm sure I can hear a solenoid clicking intermittently in the front left door, plus, only the rear windows will operate. Double nightmare.

Left the battery on charge overnight. Ok
Removed CJB again and checked pins. Ok
Refitted CJB and battery.
Shorted out between +ve and -ve cables.
Problem persists.
A raft of faults, no ignition and a clicking under the drivers seat (lhd).
The automatic central locking was already not working prior to the CJB removal. Although it was/is operable from the dash board.
I am stumped.

Hi all, have been lurking on here as a guest for a while after the decision was made that what we need as a family is a Disco 3 HSE.
Friends telling me Im mad for wanting one however they normally acknowledge I have history when I remind them I have an Alfa 159 currently.
My biggest issue is actually finding any local to me, most appear to be in the North of England and well scattered.
I like to tinker with my cars so looking forward to having something i can properly add my own twist to ,and if its anything like my 159, smile at every time i get into it.
Thanks for the add today, have been blown away by the quality of the advice on here to date across a vast number of forum posts read.

Just got a 2007 GS, problems starting to appear But it was cheap enough so not bothered about spending a few quid on it to get it working!

Hi All
We recently bought a new pup and then decided we would need something bigger to cart her around in.
After a bit of looking have ended up with a 2016 D4 Landmark which is a lovely piece of kit but not without it's issues unfortunately and that was what landed me on the forum.
Shame I didn't come here first to be honest as after a bit of poking around it was pretty obvious what a great sense of community there is here and how willing people are to help out with information or when stuff goes wrong.
I grew up on the beaches of SE Queensland in Australia (Double Island Point/Fraser Island) around Landcruisers, Hiluxes, Nissans, Jeeps, even a Lada Niva at one stage.
I'm new to Land Rovers but am looking forward to learning loads more about them, maybe even having a tinker myself, and getting out into the countryside with the new addition to the family.

Welcome to all the newbies
Strangey - like the forward planning: get a pup, buy a D4 to accommodate said pup for when it gets bigger Of course you have found the "dogs in a D3/D4 section and have posted an appropriate pic Uncle Ray's spare wheel protector

Found it, fixed it, flogged it.
It was a love/hate relationship with the Disco. I enjoyed the drive and the comfort of the HSE but got a bit fed up of driving with my fingers crossed over the steering wheel and living where we do reliability is an important aspect.
Au revoir JLR

Hello all
I have my disco almost 6 years now (54 plate) and i found plenty of useful tips in this great forum. I've decided to write my first post becouse i can't find any info about tracking device and battery location. I have fitted new alternator few months ago and new Battery a month ago (i had to charge it ones already). I may be in a wrong place for this kind of info but if possible could U move my thread in to the right section? For those who would like to share the info where to find the telestar device please write to miniu3226@gmail.com
Thanks.
P. S. I have already checked the rear end. No luck.
