FS: SMB to RCA leads - for front satnav screen connection
I wanted to get a lead with an SMB connector one end and a female RCA connector the other to easily connect DVD sources to the front sat nav screen.

Currently, there appears to be no one on the market that offers this lead and it requires at least part of it making up ourselves. I am having some made up by a company to remove the poor connection issue I will no doubt encounter with my wiring connection skills and because the price difference is very small to buying the parts separately.
Spec:
Female SMB connector (for connection to screen)
Female RCA connector
RG316 cable - better shielded than RG174
0.5 metres long - ideal for a flying lead to the top glove box (where a DVD player, TV tuner, ipod, camcorder or other source can be located)
I am going to be ordering a few more than I need, as to get them factory finished requires a minimum order and provides a better unit price.
Price for each lead will be £6.70. This includes postage and a 50p donation to the site per lead.

That's correct, connection to a DVD player in the back will be no problem with the right extension cable, probably an rca extension cable.

Yes, they will be suitable for reverse cameras. I wanted 2, one for a DVD player in the top glovebox and one for a reverse camera. I've run an rca extension cable from the glovebox to the tailgate for this. Manually selected as you say.
Thanks to everyone who has said yes. I have put the order in and the leads should be with me by the first week of March. The suppliers are going to provide me with a picture of the first one so I will upload this as soon as it is available.
