Although it is possible to retrofit the RSE system it has yet to have been attempted in a D4. Also as you are used to the RSE in your RRS and you kids are getting good use out of it anything else would be a compromise so like others here I suggest you hold out for what you ordered!
There may be some here who say "hey its just a dvd system - whats all the fuss about" but its a fantastic piece of kit which in my opinion cannot be matched by any aftermarket solution and is why I took months researching it before successfully retrofitting it to our D3. 8)
The saying " you don't miss something you never had" does not apply here as you "HAVE" had it and you "WILL" miss it!
You should ask to see the dealer order to the factory to see if the RSE is on it and then you will know who to blame
Good luck with your unenviable dilemma

I had the following retro fitted in Canada, AV7500 Dual-DVD, Dual-Game Headrest Replacement Systems, it is excellent. It comes in custom made replacement headrests that are made using LR leather. They work great.
I also have a 5l V8, the engine is absolutely fantastic. Havent driven the diesel though so i cant make a comparison. '10 LR4 Nara Bronze V8 HSE + everything

Hi Ya,
Been doing some thinking.
Currently playing hard ball with the dealer and current best option looks like getting a big discount on a V8 which comes with every option, and I mean every option.
Would get them to sway the 20inch wheels for 19inch as I don't like the look. Also heard the 20inch get easily damaged tyres.
One of the options the glass roof I am a bit worried about with the sun in Queensland which can get pretty strong, but otherwise they have a colour combination that suits.
Also been doing some fuel cost modeling and the V8 would not break the bank as I have a fuel card with work which would cover the running costs for 13,000km a year. My current trend is 12,500km so I should be fine.
Quite looking forward to a V8 disco, all that power!!!!!
Just depends on the price, good price I say yes, to high I tell them to stick the car on order and I go else where.

I have a glass roof in the D3 now. Buckham Blue with light interior. It fantastic, the extra light and openness is terrific especially with the kids. Its a must to have the rear air as well. Enjoy!

love to know who's 5l V8 it is?
Your South/North American/Canada/Austrailian/NZ V8 gets sent out as a kit, then assembled in South America before shipping around that side of the world is my understanding according to our factory tour

I wouldnt tell them to stick it.
If the entertainment system was by way of an apology for an earlier cock up, a different dealer is unlikely to offer it, in addition at the moment you probably have a very embarrased dealership wanting to make things up to you.
5.0 V8 petrol? Yes please! May the road rise with you.
May the wind always blow at your back.
And the sun always shine on your face.
May God always hold you in the palm of his hand.
