Wiper switch fix - easy or not?

Due to my own complete incompetence yesterday (after a heavy night the night before Whistle ) I managed to do something stupid to the stalk that controls the wipers behind the steering wheel.

It wont move back and forward so the rear wiper is on all the time now and the washer comes on for minutes at a time.

I presume the steering wheel etc has to come off to replace/ investigate further? With the clock spring in the vicinity I dont know if its worth chancing myself or maybe I should just bring it to my local friendly indy?

Anyone replaced theirs?

Switches are easy to get too

No need to remove clock spring or steering wheel .

Just remove the cowling ..top part just pulls upwards , and the bottom is held on with 3 torx screws (from underneath)

You can then undo a multiplug and remove a couple of screws for the indicator / wiper stalks

Had a go at lunchtime and sorted it. Pulled the column out and the cover came off real easy

I'd somehow knocked the switch out of kilter - opened up the switch at the end of the stalk and managed to get it back into place.

All working perfectly know Very Happy

Thanks again Thumbs Up
