Anybody know of a scrap yard / 2nd hand supplier of Disco 3 parts in the Gauteng (Centurion) area? I need some plactic bits, including a right front mud flap which the stealers charge over R1000 for! OK, it's for a pair, but still, a grand for two bits of plastic !!
Thanks,
Danie

Contact Land Rover Centurion. Talk to Johan Fourie (082 802 0110) at used car sales. I just had the mud flaps removed from the low milage D3 that I am trading my high milage D3 in for. Maybe the flaps are still available and seeing that I have paid for them you should be able to convince Johan to give them to you for free.

Danie, I also lost the right hand one and decided to leave it off - took the left one off as well. British 4x4 did not have any second hand ones when I was there last week.

This forum never seizes to amaze me. I acted on hls' suggestion and picked up the mud flaps from LR Centurion today. Johan (the salesman) already had them fitted to hls' traded-in vehicle, but was kind enough to remove them and give them to me. The timing was great since hls was there to pick up his new vehicle after they had transfered the add-ons (e.g. the winch) from his old vehicle. Nice meeting the guys in person and putting a face to the avatar and posts.

After 92000 problem free kms, I traded the May 2008 D3 in for a June 2009 model. Same spec, same colour and all extras (winch, RAI and sump guard) removed from the previous model and fitted to the new one.
If is was not for the gangster province number plates I do not think anyone would notice that I am driving another car.

Popped in to the Gauteng Motor Show at Zwartkops raceway this weekend. INdependant 4x4 had a Freelander-bodied D2 on display. Very nice looking competition vehicle!
At any rate, their sales guy told me they now have a faultmate with capability for the latest Disco's and RR's. They carry a whole bunch of branded and aftermarket stuff.
Might be worth a look if they are in your area: http://www.independent4x4.co.za/
(don't know these guys, and have never used them, but they impressed me with their knowledge)
