AUTOGEARBOX SELECTION LIGHTS

Hi . I have a four year old Disco 3 TDV6 SE and I am not sure If I have a problem with the selector position lights on the Auto gear box console . When I am in Drive D the Neutral N is also illuminated . The same as when I apply Park P the N is also illuminaited. BUT When I change into Reverse R only the R remians illuminated and when I change over to Command shift the N remains illuminated but the D goes out . It does not make any difference how many times I change the position the N is illuminated when I am not in N . Any ideas? Is this a problem with the selector console or the main gear box setection of gears ? . Thanks Jonathan

Sounds like yoiu either need to adjust and lubricate the selector cable or yoiu just need to run through the re-calibration of the gears.

Find a nice clear, very long road, go into Command shift and drive changing the gears all the way up to 6th gear as you go.

Or something like that anyway Thumbs Up

Start in reverse then each forward gear, hold each gear with foot fully off the clutch until the gear indication shows the selected gear, this must all be done in one ignition cycle. Once complete turn ignition off and remove key until the radio clock & park brake indicator go off.

Thumbs Up
