What kind of mileage should you get from a set of tyres on the D3?

I think you will get a good mileage. It is not the kind of car to do burn out starts and handbrake turns. My last Disco 2 got 60,000 out of the front tyres, and the rears lasted 90000 miles. I do a lot of motorway driving, so that helped.

Goodyears aren't known for their long life, my Freelander scrubbed a pair out in 10,000 miles - but that's Freelanders. I reckon 20-25K and I'll be happy
