AFAIK it's possible to, by switching them on in the CCF. It's not a "user" setting.

By DLRs do you mean the fairy lights (LEDs)? If so, then the LEDs are just sidelights - they are not "proper" DRLs in any way. To confuse things, Audi use similar lights as "proper" always-on DRLs, but not Land Rover.
Both the D3 and the D4 can have DRLs activated (via IDS, Faultmate, Autologic etc) and they use the dipped beam - not the LEDs. 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue

I am the same, I would also like the lights to activate during the day. I do have it booked into the stealers to get my tow electrics sorted out, rear fog not working. Whilst in hopefully they will be able to sort the day running lights out, I guess they can activate them? discodeeva

See i hate the fact i have to go to the Stealer to activate it, on my Mercedes its a setting that can be done from the vehicle settings!! How irritating.

Agreed, with BMW's just flip the light switch to headlights and they will turn on and off with the ignition. I was really hoping moving from the D3 to a D4 that they would have made this standard, but I still luv my D4 all the same!! discodeeva

Hi tdi guy,
This suggests that the leds aren't fitted. Do you know otherwise?

I believe that here in UK DTRL become compulsary in the next couple of years on all new vehicles, so those buying D4's in the future will get that even if they do not want it.
How things go round in circles, remeber the Volvo's of the 70's and how everyone moaned about them going round with side lights on all the time MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

GS and XS don't have LED's although it does look like it. You need to get HSE lights for this to work I believe. discodeeva
