Guys,
2pm on the 2nd is good for us 
I'll bring some loppers for any branches that are hanging a bit too low, I also have recovery straps and shackles should they be required.

Having looked at Google Earth, there appears to be a complete lack of laybys or other suitable places close to Hanging Houghton (unless Flyboy knows the area any better) so wondered if it might be worth meeting in the car park of the King's Head in Spratton for 2pm on Sat?
This is a short run from the start point and should be central to both start and finish of the lanes - grid reference if you need is 717702
Alternatively, it's right in the middle of Spratton village...

The meeting point is:
Follow the A508 north of Northampton towards Market Harborough...
After a few miles - (go past Brixworth) there is a turning on the Left to the village of Hanging Houghton.
Turn left there and follow the road.after about 1/3 of a mile the road branches to the left. (to the right is a farm)
Be careful because there is a sharp left as well leading to a small building.
Follow the road (single track and high banked down to a small bit of hard standing that sits on a section of the Brampton Valley Way.

The hard standing is where the yellow road becomes the track on the footpath/bridleway....
Alternatively - after writing all of that, I could just read LDs post and meet at the Kings head in Spratton!!! Although I will drive down to and meet aty Hanging Houghton, as Spratton is a bit in the other directiopn for me!

Unfortunately the CRV is going to be part exchanged towards the D4 and as it is on limited mileage and costed in current condition i darent put a scratch in it.
Damn me for going for a cheap 4x4
Just got to wait till Jan now, unless it is delayed

Don't panic... I am going to lower the tone of the day by being there in my very ancient (some might argue venerable...) D1!
If you want to ride along, I think that I should have a spare seat... PM me if you do want to come and we'll sort out meeting time etc.
Everyone else... if Spratton is in wrong direction for Flyboy, how about we follow his directions and meet on the first lane at Hanging Hougton otherwise we will all meet at Spratton, then drive to the lanes and then stop for another chat when we meet up with FB....
Sorry to be changing things... let's go with 2pm on the lane at HH!
Will also PM everyone tomorrow to ensure no-one is left at Spratton!
