Torque Tune dyno figures ?
A couple of recent scenarios have left me wondering just how much extra go the torqtune gives the TDV6.
1). Drove an unmapped TDV6 and nearly got squashed by a lorry on a roundabout due to turbo lag
2). Drove a D4 3.0 and didn't perceive too much difference.
3). Recent, successful, traffic light duels with motors I'd expect to eclipse the D3
I don't want to start a 'which tune is best' discussion, I have Torqtune so that's what I'm interested in, I know it could be different from car to car and there may be 'quoted' figures knocking about but I'd like some actual figures based on fact, so.....
Has anyone with Torqtune been on a dyno, if so what BHP and torque did you see?

It's not the ultimate power output that's important, it's how it's delivered that counts. Most remaps deliver 45ish BHP more although I'm sure it could be upped more than that, depends on how long you want your engine/diesel to last I guess.Welcome "Lola"

I found a graph of horsepower against revs recently for Torqtune. I cannot get it to load here so doing something wrong (excel spreadsheet) but the extra power does not start to appear till about 1600 rpm with a peak at 2400rpm.
I cannot see how this would help in a roundabout situation from a stationary start but would work for overtaking. Never driven a remaped Disco so cannot give any facts but been looking at this myself for similar situation.

Believe me it (and Turbo Chip) does!! It must sort out the power delivery on take off like Sand program does. Make it interesting when driving a non remapped D3 and those pregnant pauses pulling on to a roundabout. Try it in sand mode, that'll show you the difference.

I'm pretty sure that no remap alters the throttle mapping in the same way that the Terrain Response modes do (fast/sensitive for Sand, slow/controllable for GGS).
The majority of gains with any remap is mostly apparent when the turbo is on boost (>1800-1900rpm), having said that, I think smaller gains can be made in the general fuelling etc at lower revs to improve the response slightly...
My remapped D3 is slightly better off-boost (low revs) than with the standard map....it's enough to improve things a bit, but certainly not as noticeable as when the turbo kicks in. 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

I should imagine the TT figures are very similar to an Autologic map, try searching for that.Club Exped trailer

Assuming you mean "...compared to remapped D3" that sounds about right in a straight line - remaps seem to give about 25% increase in power, so 190 up to 235 vs 244 for D4. I suspect you might notice more of a difference through the bends though

As I'm fond of saying, it's not a question of whether to remap or not, it's which remap!

I have info for TorqTune from my old D3
at 2400rpm the ftLB of torque was 402 (up from 350) or 545nm
at 3600rpm the bhp was 238 (up from 191)
Obviously TFC is able to adapt the map to suit individual requirements.
