Just one question on the extension rods in general:
What happens if you u have the rods installed and you get stuck in off-road mode (now over-extended mode) and the disco decides to extend the suspension even further.....
Will it just do nothing or will the dash light up like a Christmas tree... (or even worse can something brake ???) 11 Disco 4 SDV6 HSE

I haven't tested it but i think it sends the height sensors out of range and gives a suspension fault.
No issues at +30mm though. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Some of the guys in Spain have tried this with shortened rods (-15mm) and ISTR that they *sometimes* just got out of range errors when using off-road height or extended (probably the latter, but I can't remember). Either way, it didn't seem to cause any permanent faults and worked fine most of the time 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue

As I understand it the settings will work as follows:
1) Access height would be around 180mm (i.e. normal height with the standard setup)
2) Normal height would be around 240mm (i.e. off road height with the standard setup)
3) Off road height would be around 300mm (i.e. extended height with the standard setup)
4) Extended height would be around 360mm (i.e. super extended height with the standard setup)
So, it should not be a problem. Just dont force the D3 into super extended mode when extended mode kicks in.
Also consider that these rods are imported from the "land of litigation" so I think they would have made sure that no harm will result by using there equipment.
The product has been tested on off road trails and I have not seen negative reports.

Guys, apologies for the lack of response - I have been commuting back and forth to WHK this past couple of weeks. Trying to sort out their performance management issues
This is a great gadget, but I have no real need for it - I just jack up my calibration defaults with my faultmate whenever I need it.
Granted I get 25mm, but it does the trick, and I don't have to get my hands dirty Plus I get 15mm or so with the STT's

Sorry Andrew
I'm bit under the spotlight with LR at the moment because of all my mods, so for the duration of my warranty I'll have to stay away from the mod. I will just used shortened rods whenever I go offroad , and then go back to standard .
