I have my D3 over two weeks and no breakdowns !!!, which got me thinking....
Is there Breakdown Assistance with a new D3. I can see no reference to it in the manuals and no mention by the dealer.
Thanks

Yep, it's called Landrover Assistance (provided in UK & Europe via Mondial assistance) the number should be on the back of your tax disc holder

there is a discussion going on the oz section regarding LR Assist here in oz.
co-incidence?
the weight limit for towing is interesting here too.
here are the terms and conditions.
http://www.landrover.com.au/assets/au/en/O...stomer.pdf
this is the offending clause:
Towing Limitations
Towing will only be provided for eligible vehicles weighting less than 2,500 Kg at the time of breakdown.
Vehicles exceeding this limitation will be offered towing at the driver’s expense. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

thats one reason I'm asking here as it seems the assist documentation was written prior to the D3 and it's weight hasn't been taken into account and is rendered useless regarding towing and makes the bit about towing with a trailer or such on the back even more laughable, so does anybody in the UK know what towing weight it states in their documentation ?

dealer doesn't know yet but tells me it's a June build, so hopefully late August early September. waiting on the good ship lollipop to get back on delivery date, keep pestering dealer (who still says hello when he knows it's me ) he said he should know in the next several days , but I am surprised that a chassis number shows up on their system but initially no build date, but I can understand the shipping details relying on others

That is what I mean, has anyone spoken to LR about this.
Is it the same for UK LR Assist? “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€
