2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 S Manual Zambezi SilverDiscovery 3
Change settings in dash trip computer

Hi all,
Has anybody had issues getting to "settings" in the trip computer?

Reluctantly went to the user manual and followed suit:

1) car steady
2) ignition key in any position (as long as the display shows trip information)
3) once trip info has been toggled to "blank":
4) short push (less than 2 secs) should give me a "settings", where steering wheel audio controls should let me navigate through options.

Needless to say, "settings" doesn't display. All I get after a short press, or a long press, or any kind of press, is the next mode displayed Mad (range or trip, can't remember which).

Might not be available in early models, not sure. Any kind of feedback appreciated.

Thanks mate. Does that mean in some early versions factory settings cannot be altered? Mainly interested in turning on the speed-activated door locking.

Anybody with an early 2005 has tried to access this menu?

Thanks again.
