why so much? I am on admiral multicar and the D3 costs about £280, me being 26 with 7 years NCB no accidents or points. even before the multicar it was still only £350 I think!2014 D4 XS

Cheers Frapp - no beepin good if they dont cover my postcode.
there is so much variation, as I've found during today. What some folks include, others dont, excess's vary from policy to to policy, so try to decide which is actually giving the cover you want at a price you want to pay isnt easy, as I found with the Tesco price (as it didnt include comp cover when abroad, for this you pay extra at the time of travelling, not as part of the policy premium). It still looks like Tesco is coming out best for all the bits I want in the cover.
looks like some more legwork tomorrow is required.

Hi Al, junked LRI earlier this year and went with Lifesure group, 01480 402460, can't give you an acurate figure as I got the D3 shortly after taking out the policy and just paid the adjustment but from memory alltold it would have been under £300, I'm with ABC which is part of Liverpool Victoria, 4 years NCD due to previous company car with protected bonus though I do live out in the sticks which should help and they also insure my house.
Hope this helps.

Try Admiral, especially if you have two cars. Ours is being renewed now for £612 fully comp, protected no claims, guarenteed hire car for a D3 and an 08 Clio, in Glasgow.
One thing that surprised me before was that my insurance went down when I added SWMBO as a named driver, worth a try even if she doesn't want to drive it. Joined the BMWX5 45e group

Try Privelege, I know in theory they are same as Direct line but they cover business use as standard for both myself and partner. Was about £370 both in 40's and protected no claims.
