Betsy is a sly old lady! she quite often sneaks into 'official' Disco3 photographs.

They look great !

Have to remember those guys when I need mine doing.

Which bottle jack did you get ? got a piccie ? If its small enough to go under the bonnet it sounds very dandy.

cheers

Here is the jack, paid £20 for it. Lifts the D3 with ease, the only drawback is that it has a small lifting range, so it has to be in off-road height first, and you need to make sure its asleep or extended mode will kick in and ground the wheel.

Close up of the finish on the wheels

Here is a close up of the finish. Its much less metallic than the standard LR silver, but it is a nice bright tone.

Here is a daylight shot. They have powder coated all the across the backside of the wheel too, which should make it easier to keep them clean.

I've got experience of Wicked wheels

http://www.wickedwheels.co.uk

They did my BMW wheels a few years ago and I found the service excellent and lasting (Didn't notice any problems at all - I sold the car 18 months later).

Overall a very professional service. Dings are ground away and then the face of the wheel is sand blasted and then the new finish is sprayed and then baked on. Takes 1-2h per wheel.

The differences compared to Diamond wheels It seems are:

They come to you in a van and only need a 240v power supply
The tyre stays on and the bead is broken to move the tyre away from the painted surface whilst it is being baked
About £20 more for 4 wheels
It doesn't look like they paint the whole wheel - just the whole face of it

Most of the local franchises use them and charge an additional £20. Mad
