Roof bars and box recommendations? |
|
I have the longer roof rails fitted now, and I need to buy bars and a large roof box.
I was thinking of the Thule Excellence box and wonder if anyone has one and what they think of it?
Also, what bars would be the best ones to get?
Thanks for any advice! Paul

Thule Aeros are very good. I spent a while researching them and since I bought them at the beginning of the summer I've been very happy. They can be fitted fairly quickly which is good as I only have them on when needed.

Thule aero's here too. 127cm bars and the recommended-by-others low-profile 753 foot pack.
No affiliation, but if you use roofbox.co.uk there is a rather handy 10% off by clicking THIS LINK once you've filled your basket.

I use standard LR cross bars with a Thule Atlantis which is long enough to get fishing rods in, just.
Opens both sides for ease of packing. Handy piece of kit for sure. Welcome "Lola"

something to throw in the pot of questions, bought a hse recently, came with full length roof rails, and roof bars ,now i had a a class mercedes, before ,that died, and had a merc roof box they are quite wide, and square, now they have a flat metal bar that slides perfectly into the roof bars ,then inside the box you tighten the bolts, its like it was made for a land rover, and the roof bars, very strange ,and it was very cheap off the bay . 2008 ,hse, it does what it says .
