Missing PM's and drop-outs

I got an email this afternoon that I had a new PM and of course was able to read it. Now, a few hours later, the site tells me I have a new PM in my inbox, but there's nothing new there, so I can't reply.. Doh..?

Also, very often I am logged in, but look at a few pages then find I can't progress as I'm apparently not logged in any longer.. Funny, I fort..

Hi Ed,
Sorry, but I can't help with your PM question.

Re login: As part of your login, do you check the "keep me logged in until I logout" (or similar) box? If not, this could be your problem.

HTH,
Peter

Thanks for that. Further to the missing PM, I've found the email telling me that I had a new PM on the site. It's from someone using the moniker imbru, but when I tried to send him a PM, that user name wasn't recognised. Now I have a banner which tells me I have a new PM when I haven't. Doh...

Hi Ed,
Try this spelling "IRNBRU" (I've written it in uppercase to make it easier to see).

Best Wishes,
Peter

Ed, Perhaps you may have registered with two similar sounding forums - disco3.co.uk and disco3club.co.uk both exist separately, and the username you seek might be on the other forum?

Yes, guess so.. It was probably his Disco... Though he didn't mention where he'd seen it advertised or any contact no.

Some people will just read it in the notification email which will not cancel it from the outbox.
