Greenlanes close to Liverpool
Picked my two nephews up from school today (8 and 10). The 8 year old said it was the greatest car in the world, my brother has a Jeep, and the 10 year olds face was a picture when I put my foot down although I never got over 40. Promised I would take them off roading. So does anyone know of any easy lanes within an hours drive of Liverpool.
I'm sure Steve Smith or Spiderbaby will be able to guide you. As you slide down the banister of life
may no splinters point your way

I seem to remember there's a family friendly off-road day at LRE Snowdonia this Sunday (at Bala - about 1.5 hours from Liverpool).
A day's marshalled drive around a muddy forest might be a treat for them.
Otherwise there are several lanes out towards Llangollen - Steve has a good knowledge of them - he's on afternoons this week - so get typing Slappus Cranius or I'll tell people about that photo of you in a compromising position.... I see no ships........

I would be able to spend more time green laning if the phone ever stops ringing, I'm stuck help me!!!!!
Andy, firstly
welcome to the Mudpluggers section A few tips first before venturing off road especially with me and similar members......
be prepared for off roading incidents ie scratches, punctures and the like, a change of clothing also is advisable.Your car has to be prepared properly ie things tied down inside the cabin last thing you need is a thermos flask flying through the windscreen.
I would certaily reccommend a one day off road tuition course at LRE or similar.
Try to get some maps etc as you do need to know where you are going just in case we get split up or whatever.
Pm me your number for a chat

Steve - I know you were stuck with the wi-fi - no need to tell everyone....
A change of clothing is a definite being with you!
Andy - welcome aboard - you're not a million miles from me or Slappus Cranius (Steve...)

Have a search for the Wayfarer route in North Wales - about an hour away from the Wirral so probably only a bit longer from 'over the water' and a great safe fun and remote-feeling track that takes you right over the tops. PM me for details or if I think on I'll post some route details here later on.

Yep - they're known more on here as LRE Snowdonia - I'm guessing you spoke to either Charles or David C.
I've organised a few D3 only events with Dave M and Co - you'll have a gas.
I went down last Sunday to bash mine around.
Cheers
