Hi Nick,
I see from the forums that you may be the chap to speak to with regards to an 'upgrade' disk for my Sat Nav unit? I am yet to post on the forums (only recently registered - hence the post here) but have been keeping any eye on them due to me picking up a new (to me) Discovery 3.
Well, I have now collected the above, and it still has the original (2006) Sat Nav disk. How do I go about obtaining a new, updated one? And is it simply a case of replacing the current disk with the new one and away I go?
With best wishes,
Joe.

Cheapest method is to buy one from TLO as per above.
Yes - slot the new one in and it'll download the software updates, then bobs your uncle. (Once you've set it back to UK instead of the Belgium default).
If you don't feel the latest disk is essential - obsolete versions often come up for sale 2nd hand. I managed to pick up an original 08/09 disk on ebay for £15 recently.

That's very helpful. All the best, Joe.

Remember to swap the disks with power on to get the software updates too - and they take an age to load, so be patient D3 - 2008.5MY HSE, Stornaway Grey, RSE etc - all the toys

Single disk = Western Europe.
The most recent Western European map for your car covers an impressive list of countries including Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Canary Islands (NEW), Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK.
Twin disk = Eastern + Western Europe
This pan-European set of two DVDs will help you explore Eastern Europe and the Baltics as it includes maps of 18 of these countries along with the more familiar Western European destinations. The full list of countries includes: Albania, Austria, Belarus (NEW), Belgium, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canary Islands (NEW), Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Moldova (NEW), Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine (NEW) and the UK.

Hi Nick, probably a really dumb question, but what is the difference between the FL2 2010-11 discs and the Discovery ones due in March?

Thanks for the info Mik. Presumably if I had the two disc set, at some point I would have to get out the car and change discs en route?
cheers Alex

Hopefully a few new roads like the A1 north of the M18, the A30 all the way as dual carriageway etc in the UK and some updates on Continental roads after all the EU granst that have been spent there (contentious statement...)
Not sure what the software update was but it took a good ten minutes. D3 - 2008.5MY HSE, Stornaway Grey, RSE etc - all the toys

Nick, have you got any info on whether the 10/11 update will include any software/interface updates or is it just maps ???
Just wondering whether to wait until March or get 09/10 now.... worth the wait if it includes software updates.
Cheers
Darren.
