D3 SE Stormaway grey 65500 Diesel Automatic Nov 06 - Parrot |
|
Hi
I am looking at getting a Grey SE Reg Nov 06 it has 65500 on the clock - I will post this in the other forum as well
but this seems like a vey high milage for the age price is 21500 - Offered it for 21000 free service next year free mats all around ( not sure what else I should ask for ). This one has the adjustable tow bar.
Other car is a red Apr 06 S model with a couple of extras ( Cold pack and steps ) price 20K milage 46000 has a foldable tow bar, not sure which one is better. also has a 6 cd interchanger.and Bluetooth, has an ALPINE system. They would pay for the next service, mats and to have a Iphone connecter in.
The Grey car has a PARROT phone system already in and the seller said it has an Aux slot at the back of the centre concole for a Ipod, can someone explain what is the PARROT system does and how it works, Do I pair my Iphone with it then plug in the Aux cable to listen to my music - I do not think that the Aux will Charge the Iphone.
Should I go for the Grey car and ask for the Iphone to be connected correctly.........
Sorry for the long question

Hi mate
I am new to this forum but I got my disco from approved landrover dealers they come up on landrover site as approved then you type in what you want and it brings them all up from across the country, they try to price match and offer good warranty also other benefits, might be worth having a read on the site, as for parrot give mikes2005 a pm as he is a registered parrot installer so can advise you as depending on which model you have depends on what will work with it, doesn't the tax band go up after 06 reg.

Hi!
Parrot does provide a range of products, and functionalities to my understanding varies e.g. based on age of the product. I just installed their MKi9100 into my D3 today.
It connects to mobile phone using bluetooth. It also provides a USB connector (e.g. for mp3 music on memory stick), a standard 3.5 mm aux plug for audio in, a iPhone/iPod Touch connector for music & controlling the media player, and it also charges through that. I tried also connecting iPod Touch over bluetooth to stream audio, and that worked well too.

The grey one looks 'fresher'
Don't know why, but that red one looks tired. Long succession of Disco's since 2001...
SIII Lightweight - neglected & rusting. Bulkhead, A panels, vent panel & outriggers now disintegrated - Next years project!
