GSM interference on SatNav screen?
Has anyone experienced random interference on the OEM screen from their phone in the form of the image flickering?
I have narrowed it down to the culprit being my HTC Touch HD and I think it started happening after its latest brutal encounter with the concrete floor in the garage
Had the phone for ages with no problems and it works fine after said drop, could some shielding have broken off inside (nothing rattles in the phone though)? Could it actually be interfering with the GVIF cable rather than the screen (though it only happens when phone is located in the front cup holders, when moved away it stops)?

Sounds like something connected with the antenna may have come adrift inside the HTC.
It's possible for a radio device to still work OK(ish) with a dislodged aerial, but the range will be reduced, more particularly though, with a phone, as it detects that the signal strength is poor, it will increase the transmission output power to compensate, this combined with an antenna mismatch, will increase the tendency to interfere with other electrical equipment around it.Clive

Cheers Clive
Knew that GSM signals interfered with speakers, just never seen interference with screens before... Which is curious because there's no noise in the speakers from the HTC...
