Just got back from the funeral of friend of our daughter (just 26 very sad) On the way home driving along the Princess Hwy at Tempe I was between two prime movers, one empty the other following with containers on board.
Was a very nice looking Kenworth truck bringing up the rear, but thought he was going just a bit quick for the conditions. Both were in the outside lane so I moved over to the middle lane just as the traffic came to a halt. Right next to me the second prime mover went straight up the back of the other semis skel. Two seconds earlier and my wife, the D3 and I would have been the cusion between the two. I was worried that he would lose the containers on top of us. Did a lot of damage to his shiny black Kenworth. Scary stuff!!! Take the road less traveled. No-one is smiling on you. It was your superior driving skills that made you anticipate what could have happened. Well done, I hope your family is proud of you. D3 Buckingham Blue SE Auto

I don't think I would have understated it like that...

Just shows how these things can happen even when you are doing the right thing. Amazing how it also seems to happen in slow motion. The truck driver was ok, but did not have a seat belt on and certainly bounced around a bit. Take the road less traveled. must be the same guy who caused or allowed the incident to happen in the first place then. Must have been bored and having some fun or something, or he's evil.

Hi Wayne,
When I saw the title, I thought that your wife had been promoted back to Sydney.
I'm glad that all are well.
Best Wishes,

No Pete, we head off Friday week and I come back for the auction of our house in the Shire on the 30th. We have 9 contracts out apparently so hopefully it will sell and Jonesy63, my brother in law and I can head up to Darwin via Birdsville, Normanton and Katherine. The D3 then gets parked in Darwin for the next couple of years, which is just 2-3hours from Singapore and I will be able to scoot back and do some 4wding.
