Help in narbonne/bezieres please
Is there any one in the narbonne/bezieres area who can help please
I have had a rear wheel bearing fail and car has been recovered to
land rover - bezieres
they are wanting to charge me 1000 euro parts and 500 euros labour to fix
I have spoken to Yeovil land rover in the UK and TheLargeOne says that parts in the UK should
only be Around £300 (approx 350 euro)
it would be very helpful if someone Local who perhaps knows the dealer could converse with the garage and
confirm why it so expensive, or are they taking advantage
because they know I have no alternative to pay so we can continue
our journey to Spain

Do you have the list of parts to replace ?
So I can verify the price with my local dealer...
Also, I know a mechanic near Narbonne... Not a LR specialist however... But may be you can pretends to have another alternative...
BTW, LR parts and LR labor are very expensive in France (it's why I order my parts in England).

Rear right Wheel bearing
brake disc
brake shoes
iwill try and get a full parts list tomorrow
any help would be much appreciated

Hi Duncan,
LR parts outside the UK are ridiculous expensive, up to a 100%. So I don't think the dealer is trying to rip you of. They buy expensive themselves as well.
Thats why I also always get my parts from TLO.

Dealer is working on car at moment so need them to finish so we can carry on to Spain

Parts should arrive tomorrow so expecting it fixed by Thursday.
Getting a bit bored of narbonne, there are only so many times you can walk around narbonne centre

Not all the parts arrived at dealer yesterday so we are still stuck in narbonne
what with the bank holiday weekend coming up looks like it may not get fixed until next week
Lra are sorting us a large car to continue our journey to Spain
let's hope car is fixed by the time we leave Spain and the hire car big enough to carry all the stuff. Still hoping parts will arrive today (only brake bits missing - don't know what exactly). I think dealers is only a small place if they don't stock brake parts, and too late now to get bits courier over from TLODuncan
