Both 12v sockets (cig lighters) u/s
I've not had my disco very long and am still finding my way around it so bare with me
I was driving to work yesterday and decided to plug my phone into one of the cig lighter sockets in the front, the ones near the ashtray to charge. But neither of them seem to be giving any power out. So I ended plugging it into the one behind the centre console which worked fine.
Trouble is I am very limited for time and am now 600 miles away from the disco and will be until the end of the week so I thought I would try and work out the best way to fault find the problem. So I know what could be potentially stopping them working.
Reading through these forums it looks like there are maybe 2 separate fuses? I also tried pushing the cig lighter in but it never got warm.
Is there anything else common to both sockets that could cause them to fail? I presume this couldn't also be connected to the fact tht the cruise control doesn't work either?
Cheers.

AFAIK the left hand front one and the centre console one are fed by the same relay but I am not sure if they have separate fuses. Have you checked the fuses yet? Cruise control not working is probably a clock spring problem

Thanks for the reply.
I'm a long way from the truck at the moment. I'll try and check the fuses if I get chance tonight. If I can work out which ones to pull. I had a look In there the other day for an unrelated thing. I now know what it feels like to be a gynaecologist! Not much room to manoeuvre!!

I believe it's fuse number 34... blue - 15 amps
They're not both on the same fuse apparently.
Fuse 55 is the actual cigarette lighter fuse (right hand side one on the front)
Fuse 34 is the front auxiliary power socket fuse (left hand side one on the front)
Fuse 19 is the auxiliary power socket fuse for 2nd row seats (rear of cubby box)
Fuse 47 is the auxiliary power socket fuse for 3rd row seats
All these fuses are the same rating... 15 amps

Thanks very much for the info I will take a look tomorrow in the daylight.
Should the sockets be illuminated at night? Mine aren't, I know on other cars I have had the socket and the ashtray are lit.

Thanks for the fuse numbers, I swapped them both and all is well
Out of interest, I was offered some fancy fuses from Maplin that once they blow they have an led in them that shows you which one has popped.
Anyone tried them?

I got the last 2 15 amp fuses our Halfords had, so I got some LED ones as spares, although I had to use one because I dropeed one of the normal ones.
