Hope this is the right forum......2 questions...

Folks,
took delivery of the disco 3 today.

well chuffed!

2 things:

1) there's no lr fitted phone kit
2) no dog bars

My questions are:

1) I dont use a nokia phone so is there any point getting the lr kit? if not, should I go for a parrot?
2) i've got 2 mutts - a lab and a german shepherd. I will get lr dog bars but I need something to split the boot. saw the lr cargo thing but can it be moved to anything other than 50/50? don't really need the locking door part but i'd like to keep me wellies and the like from being chewed! Razz

thanks in adavance.

Ian

Hi and Welcome....Parrot Kits are great if NO LR kit is fitted. You can fit the LR OEM kit, but would you want that as it probably is more expensive to comprehensively fit.

The dog guard/Seperator can be fitted without the Door and frame, it just lifts of the Rising hinge, but it will be weak in left to right movement on the boot edge cos the frame is secured at the bottom right

thanks folks.

i think i may get a parrot fitted.

only problem is i've no friends who phone me! Laughing

also got a number of a company who may make me a custom built crate for the dogs then i don't need dog bars, cargo divider or anti chew devices on the seatbelts.

I have been using parrots for 6 years in audi, bmw, honda and LR no problems at all. Mine is mounted just to the right of the right hand centre vent so it's a bit tricky to see who is calling as the steering wheel gets in the way, but no problems at all using it.

Mic top of the offside A post, not many complaints about road noise but I would prefer to have it mounted centrally above the rear view mirror so reduce any wind noise from the corner and allow my passengers to speak easily if using it.

I had another Disco before my current (SE) and the parrot was mounted to the far right of the rubber in-front of the satnav space, it blocked the vent and got cooked on cold days. Not the best space but at least I could see it easily.
