Anti Roll Bar Bushes!

Hi This is my first post. Boughts myself a D3 05se for cheap money knowing there are a couple of bits need doing to it. Have been on the Forum for a few weeks now and would like some help please Mr. Green I have ordered various bit's for later mods FBH and so on. I am looking forward to doing them or not as the case maybe!!

Any way first thing i want to fix is a slight knocking from under neath front and back over pot holes rough road. Put the car up on the two post ramp today exspecting to find my upper and lower arm bushes to be in a bad way but they look all good. However the anti roll bar bushes look like they have some play in them front and back is this commen i can find nothing about them here. If it is what are the sujested replacements? I have read that some bushes can be replaced with RRS ones which are more up to the job is this the same for the anti roll bars? The link bars look and feel fine also.

Any help on this one would be appritiated.

I have found that the Forum has a wealth of information available and that everyone is here to help each other which is fantastic. Of course there is a bit of p--s taking as well but that's great too. Thumbs Up

Cheers

Paul

Hi Paul,

I replaced both front and rear with polybush replacements, think it was £14 all in.(could be £22)

I did have some squeeking a couple of months afterwords but after a couple of trips through a river all is quiet now,

If you look in maintanance and mods i believe there is a "How to"this is for the rear

Like BrianT I replaced my ARB bushes with Polybush - I think they're more round the £24 mark.

They are a bit stiffer - some may not like it - and do squeak at first. I prefer the firmer ride and cured the squeak with some silicon spray.

They can be difficult to get on but nothing your average DIY couldn't do - the guides are excellent.

The alternative is the revised LR ones which 'incorporate' the spacers mentioned.
