K9x4x4

Is it just my imagination, or over the last few days has every thread turned into a discussion about dogs? Maybe we need a "Rovers in 'Rovers" section on the forum, along the lines of the competitor's popular "Shi Tzus in Daihatsus" forum?

Or Ridgebacks in Hatchbacks?

You cannot get a better 4x4 than a dog.

Full independent suspension go anywhere
Water cooled
Automatic environmentally sensitive waste disposal
Built in heater
Security protection made of ivory
0 - 30 in seconds
Loud warning signal

I'm sure you lads can add much more

Often freely release clear liquids from the front end that have lubricating yet sticky properties and act as incredibly powerful solvents before drying with a crusty exterior

Frequently distribute disturbing aromas from the rear end

Spend much of the year sheding enough hair to knit several large blankets and burnout the most powerful vacum cleaners

Despite having a sense of smell a million or so times better than our own still find the need to press their nose on you and sniff really hard

Wouldn't be without 'em though

Always happy to see you, despite only having been away 10 mins (unlike the mrs...)
always happy to get involved in silly games (unlike the mrs...)
Will eat anything you give them (unlike the mrs...)

Will always wake you up in time for work if you've spent a night on the couch due to 'over indulgence' (unlike the mrs...)
doesn't mind at all if you fart in polite company (unlike the mrs...)
Never answers back (unlike the mrs...)
Doesn't complain about your choice of clothes or music (unlike the mrs...)
Never complains about your snoring (unlike the mrs... - although to be fair, the dog snores more than I do Laughing )

I could go on but Firefox might think i'm hijacking this into a 'dog' thread Wink

Cheers,

Now I'm getting an inferiority complex, it seems I have the smallest DOG on the forum - a long haired dachshund whom my kids have very originally named "Dax". Mind you he comes in handy when my 18 month year old decides to throw up - licks up every last bit. Exclamation

Dom, do you really have to lower the tone that much Crying or Very sad . I mean about the Dachhund and its low centre of gravity Shocked . That means 'roof hound' doesn't it Confused . How on earth did they get a name like that with such short legs, they could never get onto a roof Whistle . The Dutch have a much better name, Taglehund, still means the same by the way, just sounds better.

BN, you're right he looks hilarious when he walks with such short legs and even funnier when he runs, for such a small-sized dog he's very territorial - his best mate is a bull mastiff??????

I ran over a Kong with my lawmmower the other day... Good god, that thing flew out at such a high rate of speed I'm *really* glad it didn't hit me (or a neighbor!)... It rose a few feet into the air, hit my cedar fence, and shot about 40 feet into the air, up an over my house... I found it in the front yard later in the evening...
