Central locking inoperative |
|
Had to leave the D3 in the factory over the weekend due to borrowing a van. Return to work this morning and the central locking will not operate from the keyfob...
The Disco was locked inside the factory with the key removed from the ignition and kept in the cupboard nearby. The vehicle was unlocked for the duration of its stay (as by our company policy in case of emergency and all that)... It is now only lockable either by the internal dash buttons or using the emergency locking procedure.
Having read the manual, it tells me to run the vehicle for 6 minutes to reset the system, so I drove home (approx 25 minutes) and the symptoms persist. It won't even work with the spare key.
So... question is what is going wrong?? Do I need to leave the vehicle running, but not drive it for 6 minutes? Do I just need to remove the battery lead for a few minutes so the whole system resets?
It's due in the dealers for it's EGR to be un- at the end of the week, but I'd rather it was parked on the drive with fully functioning alarms/immobilisers etc...
Any clues??
Cheers
Adrian

?? Surely LR won't have put a separate fuse in for the remote locking...?? It still works when I use the buttons on the dash...
