OBD2 Interface to D4? (and Android Torque App)

Hi All,

I noticed the "Torque" app on the Android Market and it needs an ODB2 interface to work.

I did a quick search on the forum and found http://www.disco4.com/forum/topic61525.html?highlight=obd2 which describes it all working on a D3 including a great video.

Does anyone know:
1) Does the D4 use the ODB2 interface?
2) If so, where is the port located?
3) Has anyone tried the Torque app (or similar apps) on a D4?

Cheers,
Edwin.

Thanks Mowog - I've now found the port.

I'll borrow a friend's ODB2 Bluetooth adapter and try out the free version of the app first, and see how it all goes.

Yes indeed!

It is quite nice. To be honest I don't do anything with the data except sometimes compare the GPS speed to the displayed speed so that I have that little more speed during long distance driving. Smile

I also tried the same adapter and application (Torque) in a friend's VW Golf GTI MkV, to read and/or clear an error code, but for some reason it would not pick up the error code despite the ABS error light being lit up.

Couldn't resist.

Ordered 2x - one for the D4 and another for a xmas pressy for my son's spiffy red veedub .

will be running on Samsung Galaxay SII phones and Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1 [which my son brought b4 the Apple legal rubbish] - both of these are Apple killers.

I think the most $valuable item to monitor is the Mass Air Flow MAF which goos up with oil and results in high fuel consumption and poor performance, my D3 MAF needed a clean every 10-15 km and my D4 item just had a clean after 12k km - simple job really.
