I have a 2007 V8. Chose not to extend the motorplan. Now I have a compressor issue....... Still cheaper to service at an independant, but I am holding thumbs that I made the correct decision.
8)
The V8 is less of a maintenance hassle (EGR valves, turbo, intercooler etc etc)
Plus..... I can rip out the cats, get free flow pipes, jimmy the suspension etc and there's no warranty to void.

Can you feel the difference in the performance after the cats are out (other than in your eardrums!!)?

TBH not really - I did it to be able to run LRP fuel if necessary and also because I love the sound of a free flow in the morning

Until they get blocked . Not sure if they are listed as a serviceable item

Hi Andrew,
Unless damaged, the cats should work "for ever".
Best Wishes,
