Have been out in the desert (CSR etc) and now seem to have very little air coming from any of the interior vents. The fan works (you can here it) but even on full not much air comes out!
Air-con still works ie cold air comes out, but again not much.
Suspect something is not fully opening fully behind dash. Has anybody encountered this problem? Fixed it?

Could try this
Quote:Distribution motor self-test
The motor and flap operation can be checked using the on-board distribution motor self-test function.
The self-test can be initiated by pressing and holding the ECON and RECIRC buttons while turning the ignition switch to the ON position.
The control module will then compare the current motor position with the values stored in the module and will indicate an error by flashing the ECON LED (light emitting diode).
If there are no errors, the LED will go out and the system will function normally.
To confirm that there are no errors, turn the ignition switch to the OFF position, then back to the ON position.
Observe the operation of the programmed defrost LED.
If there are errors present, the programmed defrost LED will flash and the system will attempt to calibrate itself 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Or alternatively, you could just have a clogged Pollen/Dust filter if it was very dusty

As others have said, pollen filter is the most likely culprit - park Disco near your recyclable rubbish bin and remove filter. Place it in bin. Replace glove box. We have had great air flow and saved the fortune the stealers asked for replacing the filter - no rocks or small birds have been ingested into the cabin to date. After all, we ( and our ancestors) survived for many decades without pollen filters.... Ex Defender 110 200Tdi owner.

As others have said - pollen filter is most likely the culprit - basically drive offroad with recirc on and fresh air off or carry a few pollen filters.

Yep - pollen filter full of dust etc!!! Thanks everyone for the responses.
Bit miffed as just had serviced and specialised independent Rover mob did not even check it. Nor the air filter !! After the desert trip I had the car detailed - so it looked near new again and I suppose they thought it had only been around the city so would not be dirt anywhere. Looks like I'm back to the dealer for the next service - at least they check filters etc.
Not happy

Were the air filter and pollen filter due to be replaced at your service? Pollen filter every 24000km and air filter every 72,000km. The specialist would have serviced the car in accordance with the service schedule unless you advised them to do extra work - like I have been bush please replace the air filter.

Yes good point Garry. Still I thought they might have just checked both.
I did infact raise the point of less interior air but was told was ok. Mmmh! But on the bright side I have learnt quite a bit about the D 3. Have ordered both filters locally to fit myself.
I did also purchase a new fuel filter to take on the trip only to find it was the wrong one, (sorry to winge) - while under the car checking for spininfix (numerious times). Luckily filter was not required. Bought it from the dealer stating vehicle year etc. Oh well.

I bought a fuel filter to give to my mechanic to change. It was out of the book at the spare parts shop and it was the only one listed - it was the wrong one. I later found out that the early pre 07 filter looks like a traditional fuel filter but the one for 07 on looks more like a screw on fuel filter.
So you are not the only one to fall into that trap.
Cheers
