SAT NAV - Quick way to add current location as memory point?

Hi,

Is there a quick and easy way to add your current location as a memory point on the HSE D3 sat nav system?

I often drive past somewhere and want to record the location so that I can return another time, but I just cant seem to find an easy way to do this. At the moment I am setting it to navigate to my current location (which gives an error about being to close), then use this from 'recent destinations' to add to my saved memory points. There must surely be an easy way that I am missing?

Tap the map, then a number of onscreen buttons appear. One of them lets you store the location.

I knew there had to be a simple way that I was missing, and I guess you cant get much simpler than that!

Great call, thanks Wiljo

If you have the high spec just say - "navigation store name" - which can be done while driving.

The relative disadvantage is that you can store the current position of the car, not something 100 m down the road. If you want to store where you are parked this is great. Thanks for the suggestion, this is one I didn't know of!

Which of course will come back as "Dialing number now" or "navigating to nearest school" but not "location stored"" Very Happy

I've never got the voice commands to work reliably.
