Africa maps for the LR Navigation System ???? Ethiopia??

Hi,
does anyone know if there is a way to install/load a navigation map to the oem LR navigation system which would cover Ethiopia? Question

It can't be done. Land Rover only released dvd's for certain areas, and nobody has been able to crack the files to add other maps. I believe Navteq make the maps, and LR buy the license to use.

Maps for the d4 must be loaded on to the hard drive ( in the touch screen ) by the dealer ... You buy the maps and get a code ....which then in turn allow LR to upload the map to your car .

Unfortunatly navteq site has not been updated ... So no price yet G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Ah forgot D4 is HDD, so maybe there is hope for the future?

Although at the moment navteq only cover south Africa G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Best thing to do is get a Garmin Satnav, and download the maps you need. Tracks4africa also works with Garmins.
