Twin Headrest Kit On eBay from Neneoverland |
|
Hi All,
Am I missing something here?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Land-Rover-DVD-Headr...a4317#shId
At £100 to include replacement headrests, twin screens, two infra red headsets. Just phoned them up and they say this is correct.
The only thing I can think of, is this set is carp. Anyone any experience of it?
Best regards
Chris

Sounds like the kit TLO is also selling. If it is the same it's a bargain at that price...
Edit: Does anyone in and around Bath/Bristol have these headrest monitors fitted so I can take a look? Andy

When I phoned they confirmed it is two headrests with monitors, two head sets, the interface so you can plug in DVD, mp3/4 player etc.
They also say it is a genuine Land Rover part.
On their feedback two people have got them and rated positively.
Seems to good to be true and often this rings alarm bells. However I have managed to buy bargains like this in the past and done well out of it.
Sad thing is I have no use for them as my Daughter hates watching anything in the car. Rest of the kids are grown up and grand kids are too small!

So Andrew, is it any good?
How is it wired in and are the headrests specific to Land Rover or generic?
And of course how much did you pay for it?
Any photos?
Lots of questions.
Best regards

Yep, from TLO. Those that have premium leather might find a mis match, it suits the older leather as it is almost a direct match.
Very easy job, and brilliant addition, for £100 I would bite their hands off, might even go for a set myself if the wife relinquishes my CC

Your installation photos make it look a simple install. Reckon I will buy one anyway! Seems daft not to.

It would'nt cost alot to retrim, or even transfer the whole lot to your existing Headrests either.
Anyway, here's my how to guide, just to give an insight on the level of work required:

Thanks for the link.
I have just phoned up to order one and found out they are Freelander II headrests and at the moment they can only find grey cloth ones.
So I wonder what work is required to cut into the existing D3 headrest and install it?
Any ideas?
Best regards
Chris

This link shows you how to use the existing headrests
Bottom of Page 14 from the initial Headrest screen offer.

I still have my original Headrests from this install as I feel they are not too disimilar to the originals.
