SWMBO has been talking to friends and it appears I need to be purchasing a few when we're in UK 6th-11th June but I dont have the numbers required from her yet.
1) if we ordered and gave my parents address is that OK
2) P&P is per item or if we took 5-6 units we can still get at £5
Experience is a difficult teacher, because she gives the test first and then the lesson afterwards!!!!

Just ordered my second unit.

Ordered 1st one from the original group buy, second one from Hids4U - they have the best price by far.

Naturally I would recommend them which is why I ordered a second one. Very easy to fit. Mine has a permanent live feed (Wiggs explained mod) and as such it catches all sorts of happenings.

Just waiting for my second one to arrive.

Thumbs Up

How often does the card need erasing ?

Obviously this depends on driving times and usage but as a general rule of thumb ?

Chalky, the card does'nt need erasing cos it overwrites itself. Its basically install and forget, and if you have an incident worth downloading then remove the MicroSim and do so. Other than that just let it do its stuff and overwrite footage.

It is worthwhile doing a routine download though, just to make sure the footage is not currupt, and to ensure the unit is working correctly.

I have been looking at these for ages and the Blackvue is for certain the best one I have seen - Well Done Russell Thumbs Up for finding it

The Chinese versions are a little cheaper but the brackets and looks are terrible.

Has anyone asked their insurers if they can get a discount with such a device being fitted?

I did. Privilage Insurance were to offer a discount on the Annual premium. The only catch was that ANY claim needed to be supported with footage.

I did'nt go with it as it would need to be on 24/7, 360 degrees to support any possible eventuality

Trial and error really, its not that it won't see forward, but of how much Bonnet do you want visable.

Big tip is to mark the holder/camera when aligned. Then you'll have no probs replacing in the right alignment.
