Hello fellow D3 guys.
I considering to get a drawer system, or try to build one myself.
The only problem i found is, what happens if you get a flat and need to change the tyre?
If i get a drawer system, do i need a roofrack or wheel carrier or is there away around to still drop the spare tyre from underneath the car?
Thanks
Ben

There has been threads before about this and if I remember correctly, most people keep a socket and wrench on the winch perminantly.
With regards drawsystems, a forum member was making & selling very nice ones.
I have got lintran draws for the shooting/dog stuff. Pic in gallery.
I suppose it depends on what you want the draws for. d4 HSE in Corris Grey with Black options pack

ScoobyWrx, Yes you can fit a socket with an extension in place so you
could get at it with a rachet to drop the spare wheel, just work your design
around it. So there is no need for a roof rack or extra spare wheel carrier.
Mine is totaly different to suit my needs. Here is something Chris has done.

Hi ScoobyWrx
I had the same issues last year and ended up putting my spare on the Frontrunner wheel carrier and then building my own drawer system. Was worth the effort because on day 2 of my trip I had a flat and getting to the tyre under the drawer system would have been quite an issue. When the spare is on the rear carrier it takes no time at all!
Let me know if you want more details.

Ha! But you can waterproof it in 20 seconds.... permanently - with a tube of silicone - and it is far better than the rubber plug. 8) Proud owner of an IIDTool
