Cooper HT+ on a MY09 disco3 |
|
Need to change the original tyres on my disco3 and am considering cooper HT+.
Is anyone running these tyres on a TDV6 MY09? and if so is there a significant rubbing issue on full lock?
Have spoken to the distributors who have not heard any problems with 265 60 18 on a disco3.
I am keen to get rid of the originals, and have been very happy with the cooper st on the 17 in wheels for touring.
Would be grateful for any feed back.
Thanks
Julia

Gday...
it's been a while since you asked ..... hope I'm still timely enuff......
I run Cooper Discoverer H/T Plus 265/60/18 on my Dec 2006 D3 TDV6 SE.
This is what were on it when I bought it 2nd hand at 72,000km - I put some of the same on new at 88,000km, now done 96,000km and they are great.
I do mainly highway, but some dirt, gravel and some red mud travell in NSW and QLD outback last year. Had no problems with either the tyres or the D3.
Cheers

But there are different clearing issues between a my06 and a my09.
There's more chance of rubbing on a my09. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Thanks for the replies, I have been overseas for a month causing a delay in the response.
The ht+ went on early this week haven't noticed any rubbing noises but I guess we will have to take the wheels off to have a look, just to make sure.
