the d3 made the otl with camper in tow!!
Hi all just wanted to let you know that we made the otl the whole way without a scratch. The d3 performed fantastically and I was in a group with 2 troopies and a Nissan. I even has to snatch one of the troopies out while the camper trailer was still hitched...palm creek was over a metre deep but didn't even get a drop of water in the car. Can't speak more highly of the performance of the disco, it made every entry and exit look alot easier than it was. I uploaded a few picks on my gallery (bmalpass)
Cheers Ben

The old telegraph line was built back in 1860's so us Aussies could get a phoneline from the tip of Australia to the rest of the world...

Awesome pics. I am leaving in 2 weeks to do exactly the same thing with camper trailer. Not sure about the 1M deep crossing without a snorkel though. Did you use a blind on the front? Bit hard to tell with the water over the bonnet.

Why is it that every time I'm reading stuff like this, I get the feeling I'm living in the wrong country - or even the wrong part of the world?
Not AT ALL jealous
Great pictures and looks like a mighty experience!!!

Hi Matt
You will have a ball however get a snorkel as everyone that had any issues didn't have one and there are at least 4 deep crossings...it would be a long drive home on the back of a truck!!!
Cheers
Ben
