Could just be an EGR valve failed, if so then Bell Autos sell blanking kits. Hope it is something minor.

As long as you find a good dealer/independant everything will be fine. I was at wits end with my first dealer Str Censored es but current dealer has been great.

As you said main dealer has confirmed EGR valve has failed, must be a common issue with these vehicles, can it be blanked off?

Hi
This forum has some great tips and the guys on here will give you some great advise as to various sinarios fault/fixes to do yourself that will save you pounds.

Most likely the dealer will charge a arm and a leg to do your EGR valves but if you search EGR on this site theres a document wrote by Disco Mikey it,s a step by step guide to replacing the EGR,s.

I,ve only been on the site a couple of weeks and have done many fixes myself from tips and documnets the guys have wrote.

I have read that a quick fix to get you home if valves go would be to have a couple of 2p coins handy i,ve tried it and it works to get you out of a pickle.

Thanks Dunny1
