I think Wiggs is either fed up with me or busy, so I'll put a general question out here.

When soldering up the two wires to the remote for the GSM dialer, is it uber important not to touch any other capacitors etc, with the iron? I think I just jiggered my remote by using an iron with mahooooooosive tip.

Also, boy in Maplin recommended signal wire, and not sure this is the best sort of wire to use between remote and dialer? ANy old thin cable wire should do yeah?

I am a bit loathe to burn out another remote. Anyone got a spare and fancies soldering up the wires for me? Bow down
 If in doot, flat oot!!
