Think it is because they are Flat Beam over in Europe it’s the kick up that causes the problem, but stand and to be corrected.
Most late vehicles now have Flat Beam headlights now so no need to adjust. Discovery Sport is one.

Re: Setting Disco 4 lights for European driving |

ludomcgurk wrote:Easy job but a bit of a joke - pop grille out, remove headlamps by lifting the 2 slide catches on each, take big cap off the back of the main light and inside next to the wiring block on the lamp there's a lever which is up for UK and down for Europe. My wife's SLK has the same thing but I can do hers without removing the headlights.
Silly arangement - most people would have to go to their main dealer for this which would be expensive, and then agin to have them reset on their return. Added to that they would be driving illegally in UK while the lights are set to LHD.
Up makes them flat down makes more light so up is for Europe down for uk Disco 3 gone but not forGotten

Hi WW, the position in France and Germany is the same principle as the UK, just having the 'flare' in the dipped beam lighting up the RH edge of the road. So not flat, dipped beam. Yamaha Tracer MT-07

In my handbook (D4 facelift) it says not necessary, only HBA needs changing and that can be done on the dash set-up menu. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
