Diagnos said my EGRs were working within 5% tollerances, said it was acceptable, still not convincd .
My opinion is TC get it sorted or give me my money back, getting fed up now I'm not as good as I once was........but I'm as good once as I ever was.

That's my point, I can't say I've really noticed any difference certainly not £500+ difference; maybe it doesn't work on 08.5MY I'm not as good as I once was........but I'm as good once as I ever was.

Mine is an 05
Maybe the factory improvements in the 08 mean
there isnt much improvement.
What are your factorfy horsepower and torque figures Pete

What ever the remap ..you should notice a 1 - 2 sec improvement in 0-60mph ...rather than bellyache about it here though ..get your TC agent to check that the map is properly applied first 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

I fully appreciate that ...I meant bellyache in the nicest possible way . I'm just trying impart that if it were me I'd double check the application and then if still not satisfied I'd go to town 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

DG,
Don't know if you have followed this saga but what else do expect me to do FFS, had it installed, neither me nor the installer was satisfied, so took the car on a 300 mile round trip to try to get it sorted, what else am I supposed to f do
Plus I know Diagnos and the installers read this forum which is why my earlier post said:
Diagnos said my EGRs were working within 5% tollerances, said it was acceptable, still not convincd .
My opinion is TC get it sorted or give me my money back, getting fed up now I'm not as good as I once was........but I'm as good once as I ever was.

Obviously I hadn't followed it as closely as I should have before commenting ...OK..all sympathy's to you...and if that's the case I'd be asking for me cash back. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

NICKNICK wrote:No smoke with my TC.
TC also sorted to redo the remap via my dealer after the LR enhancement (lucky my dealer, Stratstone, offers TC inhouse)
I have said it before on here but imo the TC upgrade is essential for onroad driving,
I would not have purchased a Disco 3 if i had not read the reviews on here of the TC upgrade before buying.
Sorry for going slightly off topic, but what branch of stratstones offer the TC "in-house". Have spoke to a few and no-one seems to know?
Have drove standard 05/08 cars back to back and the 08 seemed a bit perkier, is this the case of my imagination?

Up until now I haven't had the chance of a direct comparison between a chipped one and a non-chipped one, however today we have been loaned a D3 SE while the Jeep is still in the stealers, can't supply a Jeep with a tow bar. Just took the SE out and I can't tell the difference between the two , might have to part with a bit more money and get the TT one , he seems to know his onions and can tell for definite if the tune has worked, I certainly don't think Enterprise would chip their cars. I'm not as good as I once was........but I'm as good once as I ever was.

After one year my MY08 has engine has loosened up and shows very good acceleration up to 6th gear. Its on the motorway in 6th that I would like a bit more grunt for overtaking without having to drop a gear which puts the revs outside the power band and gives no advantage.
Decent remaps all offer increases of about 30% in power and torque (e.g. 240bhp and 560Nm). That MUST be noticeable unless you have an EGR problem which isnt the case. So as the others advise, get TC to re-do it or get your money back.
I'm thinking of going for a JE tune for proximity reasons unless TFC appears to me in a blinding flash and I see the error of my ways . There's one wheel on my wagon, but i'm still rollin' along, it's the cherokee, they're after me, but I'm singing a happy song
