master alarm fuel- error. |
|
Driving back from Edinburgh after a one week stand in airport car park. Started journey with 3/4 full tank, got a master alarm triangle and fuel warning, led showed empty - great as on single carriage, south bound on A1 doing 60 mph in heavy traffic! . Pulled over, left running to see if there was a fuel leak, no signs, alarm then cancelled itself but LED indicator showed 1/4 full. Switched off, re started and it then indicated correctly just over half full and no alarms. Bit of a scare, just wondered if anyone else had the problem ? D4 3.0 SDV6 GS 13

Not had that problem myself ,but I'm sure I remember reading on another thread that the fuel tank is long and narrow & & has 2 sensors in it,this might explain why
BTW ......black/White Or red/white? Www.devonchilliman.co.uk
